MAK Engineering Services’ Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) laboratory simulates product operating environments to evaluate behaviour under environmental stress. Products can be subjected to climatic, extreme-temperature and vibration testing, among other conditions.

Product components can be affected by stresses from their operating environment. We simulate these conditions in computer-controlled environmental-stress chambers, where components or complete products can undergo thermal cycling, including constant or cyclic temperatures with humidity.


These tests can be conducted on prototype products during the initial production stage to identify environment-related weaknesses. We can also provide failure-trend analysis related to environmental stress to support product refinement.


Our ESS capabilities include:

a) Environmental Stress Screening (thermal, vibration, corrosion, etc.)
b) Performance testing
c) Endurance / Durability and Electrical testing
d) Development-sample validation
e) Ability to coordinate validation tests viz., Salt Spray Test etc. in collaboration with accredited external Test Laboratories.
